Today is #DayOne for me as The Director of Product Management in the @Bing Multimedia team. I am super excited about this new role as it gives me a ton of opportunities to learn new social and consumer media domains and challenges me to get out of my comfort zone. Finally, I am back in an Engineering Org after 15+ years at Microsoft.

My remit is to build and support the creator and influencer ecosystem, help the #content creators to be successful on the Bing Multimedia platform, and inspire, attract, and grow their user base and revenue. I will focus on building and shaping products, tools, and services for UGC/PGC (User Generated Content / Professionally Generated Content) creators on our multimedia and Bing products and services.

My goal is to support and help build a vibrant community and thriving partner ecosystem that fosters collaboration, inspires, activates, and enables all to develop strong, genuine, and positive relationships to deliver consistent, high-quality results and exhilarating experiences.

In addition, I aspire to make it super simple, straightforward, and easy for content creators to onboard, build their user base, create new user experiences, and help with innovative business models to make them successful on my platform.

In my last 15+ years in @Microsoft, I have had various roles from technology and business leadership to lead #policy and #strategic initiatives to build IP with first and third parties and build and lead partner programs. I learned a lot in my #partner and #customer facing roles, helped build the startup ecosystem community, engaged with small and medium-sized technology companies, and supported them to be successful on Microsoft platforms, from ideation to go-to-market.

Lately, I was focusing on #disinformation defense, synthetic media, and the issue of #deepfakes. I have engaged with peer technology companies, startups, civil society groups, and the public sector to find multi-model solutions for the deepfake issue area. I have learned a lot about provenance challenges, authoritative content, and building trust in the multimedia ecosystem. My policy, technology, and partner initiative experiences will come in handy in this new role as we shape the products and services for Multimedia — video, images, text.

I plan to bring all my learning and perspective to the new role.

I welcome introductions to brands, creators, influencers, and MCNs in the UGC and PGC space as I begin my journey. I want to learn how to help shape the Bing Multimedia products and platform to inspire, engage, activate, and collaborate. I look forward to supporting the ecosystem with new business models to improve reach to engage, inspire, and grow your user base.
